The secretary of the World Rural Forum (WRF) invites established Family Farming National Committees and organizations wishing to set up a new FFNC in their own country to take part in the call for funding applications, which will remain open until June 6, 2016 at 17:00 (local time in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain).

Following the positive results of the International Year of Family Farming 2014, the project “The legacy of IYFF 2014 and the way forward” will allow the creation and strengthening of Family Farming National Committees. The project, which is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the FAO and is run by the WRF in conjunction with FIDA-MERCOSUR CLAEH, INADES-Formation International and AMARC, aims to strengthen the capacity of the National Committees to improve public policies in favour of Family Farming in their own countries.

Established Family Farming National Committees and organizations wishing to set up a new FFNC in their own country will be able to submit their proposals until June 6, 2016 at 17:00 (local time in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain).

The projects submitted will be evaluated by a selection committee consisting of representatives of the World Coordination Committee and the World Rural Forum, with FIDA and FAO as observers.

The requirements for the call for funding applications are set out in the Document “Support Fund for Family Farming National Committees: the project document on terms and conditions for submissions”.

Active established FFNCs should fill in aplication form M1.

Organizations wishing to set up a new FFNC in their own country should fill in aplication form M2.

Applications should be sent by email to challengefund@ruralforum.net
